The Place

Located in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago, Moment is a 490-unit luxury residential community with over 40,000 square feet of resident amenities.

The Challenge

During a tough and depressing year, Moment wanted to give back to its residents during the holiday season and show they care with a resident holiday party.

But due to COVID restrictions and cases peaking during Winter 2020, the property staff was limited to what they could do. In-person holiday events were off the table because of COVID’s high level of transmission – so property management staff needed to get creative and utilize its amenity-tech stack to pull off a resident holiday event.

The Solution

Moment already offered 2ndKitchen’s event program and room service amenity in its community’s amenity suite. The community also used Flamingo App’s marketplace for finding events that helped the property and community management team meet its event requirements and goals.

With 2ndKitchen and Flamingo having an existing integration, Moment was able to scope and budget an entire COVID-safe holiday party for its residents with Flamingo and schedule a holiday dinner event for its residents with 2ndKitchen.

To give back to its residents, Moment also utilized 2ndKitchen’s sponsored events program, purchasing 200 holiday-dinner vouchers for its residents to celebrate with a free holiday meal from nearby fine-dining restaurant Labriola Chicago.

The Result

Moment executed a flawless holiday event with amazing food for its residents, with all 200 holiday-dinner vouchers being redeemed. To add an additional personal touch, property staff included a handwritten holiday note inside the packaging each meal arrived in.

Moment was able to meet its goals of giving its residents a holiday gift and bring some holiday cheer to its community while staying safe during COVID19.
