1. Earth Bread + Brewery

Where: 7136 Germantown Ave

This spot opened in 2008, focusing on making wood-fired flatbread pizzas and small-batch craft brews. Earth Bread + Brewery is big on sustainability, community development, and the hand-made touch.

2. Brewery Ars

Where: 1927-29 W Passyunk Ave

Brewery Ars is a self-described South Philly Garage Brewery. They offer a wide variety of beer and often bring in local food trucks Thursday through Saturday so patrons can grab a yummy, local bite to eat while they enjoy a delicious brew.

3. Yard's Brewing Co.

Where: 500 Spring Garden St.

The founders of Yards Brewing Co. started out by brewing some beer for their friends in the late 80s. Opened in 1994, this brewery has great beer, outdoor seating, and a family friendly, eclectic food menu.

6. Love City Brewing

This brewery has an atmosphere that is simultaneously bright and industrial, tucked into a building that previously manufactured train parts. Love City Brewing was founded by a couple who really loves good beer and Philadelphia.

This Fishtown-based brewery has an outdoor beer garden and its own line of hard seltzer and plenty of exciting limited-production brews. Many of their beers are named in reference to moments in 90’s pop culture. Its brews are limited production, rotating with the seasons.

This spot is a local chain, with this location featuring an onsite brewery. Iron Hill’s menu is huge and they pride themselves on being the most award-winning brewery east of the Mississippi and  creating delicious culinary and beverage options for their patrons.

12. Attic Brewing Co.

Where: 137 Berkley St.

Attic Brewing Co is the first craft brewery to open in Germantown. 13. Human Robot Brewery

Where: 1710 N 5th St

This spot just opened in February of 2020 so it has had to deal with some serious hurdles in its first year. Their concept is an interesting one, with their beer list divided into “human” (more familiar feeling beers), and “robot” (more unique, crafty options).

14. Wissahickon Brewing Company

Where: 3705 W School House Lane

Voted 2019’s best brewpub by Philadelphia Magazine, Wissahickon brewing company is a great spot for a fun and unique drinking experience. This brewery is family-friendly and has daily food truck appearances, live music, and even beer yoga!

15. Goose Island Brewhouse

Where: 1002 Canal Street

This Chicago-based brewery expanded after it was acquired by Anheuser-Busch in 2011. The Philly brewhouse has plenty of outdoor space, exceptional food and beer, and firepits for patrons to enjoy. Dogs are even allowed! Their “pints & pups” event happens Wednesday evenings, featuring $3 beers and proceeds going toward rescue fundraisers.

This artisan brewery is situated in the West Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. Fermentery Form creates its beers through “mixed fermentation,” meaning that they maintain their own mother cultures of yeast and co-ferment the strains to produce their brews.
